Free Public Webinar: Rapid Recovery for Bunions to Return to an Active Lifestyle

Bunions, or hallux valgus, are a problem which affect 20-35% of the adult population and can impact all age groups. As a result, they can cause pain, displacement of the big toe and even arthritis.

Mr Kumar Kunasingam, experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, will be joining us for this free webinar aimed at educating non-healthcare professionals on the process of diagnosis to recovery. We will be looking at what the treatment options are and how we can get the best result for you or your loved ones.

If you are unlucky enough to have inherited a predisposition to flexible ligaments and hypermobility, you may be more at-risk of developing bunions. Find out about the other factors involved, such as whether wearing certain shoes can cause, or exacerbate the condition.

Imaging, such as X-rays, can be used to determine the diagnosis, and Mr Kunasingam will be explaining the anatomy of the condition utilising case studies. He will be demonstrating the process of minimally invasive keyhole surgery, which he is highly skilled and experienced in, and explaining how its rapid recovery can mean you can get back to your busy lifestyle - even by the next day! Mr Kunasingam in his day to day work performs revision surgery on those who have had open procedures in the past, and he will be outlining how this works.

Gain practical tips on how you can help yourself, and hear patient testimonials on open vs. keyhole surgery, so that you can make the best, most informed decision possible. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and advice during our Q&A!

If you are a healthcare practitioner, you are welcome to book on. However, please note that this course is targeted at the general public and will involve less clinical detail than our comprehensive 2-hour CPD courses.

We will send you an email with instructions to register and gain access to the webinar 'room' 24 hours before, and a reminder 1 hour before the event.
