The human hands are very complex structures that allow us to touch, feel and reach for things. We use our hands for almost everything in daily life.

So much usage can result in unwanted injuries and conditions in the hand and wrist. It is important to understand how to treat any pain that occurs.

Corticosteroid injections are a common and effective treatment for a variety of hand and wrist conditions.

For this webinar, we are delighted to be joined by Mr Mark Phillips, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and expert in his field, to discuss the various common hand and wrists conditions, their diagnosis, treatment and more, with you.

Get a handle on your CPD with this webinar.

Mr Phillips will start by going over the anatomy and physiology of the hand and wrists. He will then discuss the mechanism of action when using corticosteroid injections to treat hand and wrist conditions.

There are a variety of diagnoses for hand and wrist pain. Mr Philips will discuss the most popular hand and wrist pain diagnoses that benefit from steroid injection treatment, such as De Quervain's tenosynovitis, Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), trigger finger and tendonitis.

He will talk about the potential benefits of corticosteroid injections, therapeutic aspects and as a diagnosis assistance.

Mr Philips will conclude by explaining how the role of steroid injections treatment and its benefits can be integrated into a management plan. You will be able to understand how to use the injections as a treatment method to help your patients.
