Who we are

Oryon Imaging is a private diagnostic imaging centre, based on Wimpole Street in London’s world-renowned Harley Street district. We pride ourselves on offering the most accessible and affordable diagnostic imaging services possible. Previously known as London Imaging Centre, Oryon Imaging exists to make sure that the path to a diagnosis is efficient, informative and affordable.

Journey explained

If you have been referred for a scan we’ll send you an invitation to sign up for secure our online community, Connect, where you can book yourself in for MRI and X-ray scans, pay for any scan, and see your scan images all in one place.

If you haven’t been referred but know you need a scan, our friendly Bookings team will be happy to guide you. Give us a call or make an enquiry and we’ll talk you through the journey.

When you book a scan you can see all your appointment details on your Connect account and you’ll receive a confirmation message with all the details you need to feel comfortable and prepared for your scan. You can also find information on what to expect by selecting your scan type from the dropdown menu.

After your scan, your images will be uploaded immediately to your community account, and we aim to send your report to your referring clinician within one working day.

We want you to be assured that your journey with Oryon Imaging will be clearly defined from start to finish: from the moment you make contact with us to your clinician receiving the imaging report.

Being a CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered site we work within a robust clinical governance framework, so you can be reassured that:

  • We take no risks. We have developed a Clinical Governance framework at Oryon, led by our Clinical Director Dr Na’eem Ahmed. Dr Ahmed brings a wealth of clinical expertise and support to our team to ensure we maintain a high standard of operational and clinical service. Our radiologists are all sub specialised, so you can be assured that you receive accurate interpretations of your scans. We work closely with our Medical Physics Experts and our Radiation Protection Advisor to constantly review and update our process and practices.
  • We audit. We undertake regular audits of infection control, patient and staff safety, risk management, awareness of and adherence to clinical and corporate policies and procedures. An external audit of our image and report quality is carried out monthly.
  • We fully investigate complaints and incidents. Any complaints and concerns we receive are fully investigated, and accordingly we are able to review the care we provide to minimise the possibility of reoccurrence. Lessons learned are shared with all staff to ensure that problems do not recur.
