Every five minutes a stroke strikes. This serious life-threatening medical condition, caused when the blood supply to the brain is cut off, will affect 1 in 6 people in their lifetime. With 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, we wanted to focus our next webinar on this important topic.
We will be joined by Consultant in Stroke and General Medicine, Dr Radim Licenik, who will be offering his expertise on the condition of strokes. Dr Licenik will be examining the different types of strokes and their epidemiology. He will also provide you with an understanding of treatment options and preventative methods for your patients.
Get ahead of your CPD and fill your mind with knowledge in our upcoming webinar.
Dr Licenik will start the talk by defining what are strokes and the different types of the conditions that can be found.
He will then delve into the epidemiology of this common condition, which affects over 30% of the UK population.
Using his experiences and knowledge, Dr Licenik will explain clinical presentations and complications of strokes, before he goes into the diagnosis.
Treatment depends on the type of stroke you have, including which part of the brain was affected and what caused it. The talk will end with Dr Licknik exploring different treatment options and prevention methods.
