We are pleased to welcome back one of our most popular speakers Mr Nev Davies, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, to give this talk on sporting injuries to the knee.
This event will provide an evaluation of all aspects of knee injuries commonly sustained through sport, focusing on ACL injuries. Mr Davies will commence with who is likely to sustain such an injury and why these types of injuries occur including the mechanisms of injury, the patho-physiology of the injury itself and its associated trauma.
We will discuss the diagnosis, investigation and early management of sporting injuries such as conservative treatment, rehabilitation, who needs surgery and who does not and the current surgical options available including topical ACL repair.
In addition, Mr Davies will discuss his experience in effective rehab techniques for these injuries and return to sport thereafter.
