The Gut and its Role in MSK Health

Oryon Develop are pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, we are repeating this hugely well-reviewed course, this time in Brighton where Dr Stacey has the bulk of her practice.

Dr Ese Stacey, Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine, has found that musculoskeletal conditions that do not respond to conventional treatment are often linked to poor gut health. Dr Stacey has therefore designed this evening course to discuss how taking an holistic approach to patient care, including looking at the gut and the immune system, can often yield better results and improve patient performance and wellbeing.

This talk will cover pain in the joints, tendons and muscles and how this can be affected by the gut, (which is arguably the body’s most important immune organ).

Attendees will leave the talk confident in spotting which patients could benefit from better gut health and in formulating a management plan for these patients to help bring them back to optimal health.

Agenda

  • An overview on the gut
  • How poor nutrition and environmental toxins impact our health
  • Treatment options and what can be done to improve gut health
