Sixteen other NHS Foot and Ankle consultants in London, Surrey and Kent completed their training directly under him through the fellowship program he founded.

He graduated from Cambridge University and completed his training in Boston, USA. Sixteen years on, he is still the only British Surgeon to have ever been awarded the specialist fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery from Harvard University.
