Lorenzo Masci
Dr Lorenzo Masci is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultant specialising in the management of tendon, muscle and joint disorders associated with activity and sport.
Dr Masci’s interest is in the assessment and management of upper and lower limb tendinopathies including imaging and treatment. He also uses point of care ultrasound to assist in managing tendon disease. He also performs minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedures such as needle fenestration, PRP injection and image-guided tendon scraping of Achilles and patellar tendons.
He has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers and has spoken at international conferences on tendinopathy including Barcelona and Sweden. He has also published an online e-learning ultrasound-guided injection course based in the Netherlands.
Currently, Dr Masci works predominately in private practice in central London at OneWelbeck and the Institute of Sport and Health. He also works for the military of defence and NHS. He has previously worked for Fulham football club, Wasps rugby, Melbourne Storm rugby league and Tennis Australia.
