Spinal Cancer for Allied Healthcare Professionals - Mr Bob Chatterjee, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Identify the red flags of cancers in the spine early on in your patients and explore the wider aspects of the topic with Mr Bob Chatterjee. We will be examining the language of spinal cancer, demystifying tumours, neoplasm and metastatic terminology. Then, discussing the types of spinal cancer encountered in the spine, we will be looking at the ‘hows and whys’: how does it get there and what predisposes the patient to getting various forms of cancer? For accurate diagnosis, it is important to know what the relevant tests and imagery are, and what constitutes a spinal emergency.
