Mr Kunasingam graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital with a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Pathology and Genetics. Mr Kunasingam underwent sub-speciality training in foot and ankle surgery in Sydney, Australia which included minimally invasive (keyhole) techniques. Whilst in Sydney he was involved in the treatment of elite athletes.
He has also played college rugby and hockey at a high level and still plays club hockey when time allows. This passion for sport nurtured his interest and qualification in sports medicine after completing his orthopaedic training. He completed a second fellowship in trauma surgery at King’s College Hospital, a UK major trauma centre.
In 2015-2016, Mr Kunasingam and colleagues set up the Foot and Ankle Unit at Croydon University Hospital. His practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, striving for excellence using evidence-based methods. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, with the majority of his cases performed as day case procedures with quick recovery times.
His background as a medically qualified and surgically trained sub-specialist in both orthopaedics and sport medicine allows him to holistically manage all aspects of foot and ankle problems including the medical and recovery factors around it.
