Francesco Contiero

Francesco is a dual qualified physiotherapist and osteopath who integrates manual therapy and functional exercise therapy to meet his patients' needs and lifestyles. He has over ten years experience of working in MSK private practice, with the more recent years spent focusing on sports medicine and elite performance.

Francesco started his career in Italy as a neuro-physiotherapist and then moved to London to embark on a postgraduate Master's degree in Osteopathy. He trained in biomechanics at Gray Institute in the US, earning the distinction of Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS). This specialisation allows him to design rehab programmes integrating functional movements to help clients overcome injury and achieve enhanced function according to their unique goals.

For the past six years, Francesco has led the clinical neuroscience curriculum at the University College of Osteopathy (London). His academic areas of expertise are clinical neurosciences, motor control and fascial sciences. This reflects into his clinical practice, where he applies the latest evidence in pain science with patient education and exercise therapy.
