Consultant | Central Manchester
A consultant in Neurosurgery in Greater Manchester, with a specialist interest in Brain tumours (especially pituitary) and complex spine surgery. Mr Gnanalingham believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of brain and spinal disorders. Surgery is usually considered when other medical and non-operative treatments have not been successful. Surgery is frequently undertaken using minimally invasive (ie ‘key hole’) techniques. Mr Gnanalingham undertook Neurosurgical training in London, including fellowships in pituitary, and spinal surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He learned minimally invasive techniques at several centres in the UK and US and was appointed as a Consultant at the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre at Salford Royal Foundation Trust (SRFT) in 2005.
