Sciatica – Dr Manojit Sinha, Consultant in Pain Medicine and Spinal Intervention

Sciatica is also known as radicular pain caused by irritation, impingement or compression of the spinal nerve. It can be acute or chronic have an impact on functional mobility. The treatment is multimodal with medications, exercises, injections, and surgery if indicated. The earlier the treatment is initiated, the better the prognosis. Which modality do you refer for when a patient has hip pain? Mr Emeka Oragui will be giving us an insight into the mind of an Orthopaedic Surgeon with this captivating imaging-focused talk. We will be exploring if x-ray imaging is sufficient for hip arthritis and which imaging modality is best for Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI). Mr Oragui will also be discussing which imaging modality should be used for sports injury, MRI vs ultrasound?
