Free Public Webinar: Football – From Injury to Recovery

Now that amateur outdoor sport has opened back up, make sure you are prepared for the worst on the football pitch (or off!) and know what your options are if injuries do occur.

Whether you’re in a football club, simply play for fun, or knows someone who does, listen to this talk by our Oryon Connect Partner and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Professor Ali Ghoz. A consultation and follow-up appointment with Prof. Ghoz will be just £250. We also have a variety of other healthcare professionals such as spine consultants, pain consultants, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors. To find out more about accessing our healthcare professionals please call 020 7042 1881.

Come along, meet Prof. Ghoz and you’ll have the opportunity to learn about how common football knee injuries occur, how they will be rehabilitated and ask any questions you might have – all for free! Check out the agenda below for more information.

We will send you an email with instructions to register and gain access to the webinar 'room' 24 hours before, and a reminder 1 hour before the event.

Prof. Ghoz will be examining the three most common knee injuries that can occur – Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), meniscal and hamstring injuries. He will be explaining how such injuries can occur through particular movements, neglecting beneficial practices and which players may be more at-risk.

Looking at treatment options, we will then be discussing how each injury would be dealt with to get you back to recovery, and whether return to play would be an issue to consider.

Schedule:

  • ACL injuries
  • Meniscal injuries
  • Hamstring injuries
  • What are the recovery options?
  • Q&A

What you’ll learn:

You will leave with an understanding of the process from injury to rehab and recovery, what each stage involves and how you can get back on your feet, or even back to the pitch!
