Delving into the forms of medical cannabis, our speakers examine the current situation in the UK. By outlining the conditions it can be prescribed for, such as Chronic Pain, Anxiety and Palliative Care, they will be explaining how it can help your patients when they have tried other conventional treatments. We explore the latest findings in the field using a thoroughly evidence-based approach and learning how the treatment process works for each condition.

How is a patient evaluated and deemed eligible for treatment with the drug? This webinar analyses the parameters, including understanding the governance framework, recommendations, and routes of administration.

Lastly, real-world data collection has indicated that there is evidence for clinical uses of medical cannabis in other conditions; our speakers discuss the trials taking place currently and the future of the drug in clinical settings.

Schedule:

  • Medical cannabis in the UK
  • Conditions treated
  • How a patient is evaluated for treatment - clinical governance framework
  • Real-world evidence data collection

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the conditions which medical cannabis can treat and why
  • Learn the criteria for a patient prescription
