Keep on top of your CPD by joining us online for this 2-hour webinar with Mr Bal Dhinsa, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. Mr Dhinsa will be taking us through common injuries and management, using his own diagnostic workup and case studies to give a rounded insight into these conditions.
In the first half of the talk, we’ll go through acute and overuse injuries. Mr Dhinsa will draw on his experience as Charlton Athletic FC’s Academy Doctor to discuss how to recognise and treat these injuries, giving his own diagnostic workup and explaining his examination process. We’ll then go through conservative and operative treatment options, including the collaborative management of patients across multiple healthcare disciplines.
In the second half, rehabilitation and injury prevention will be discussed. Whilst management of foot and ankle conditions is progressively getting better and better, there are still many things sportspeople could do better to prevent them, and they often look to therapists to help them in this department. Mr Dhinsa will impart his extensive knowledge on prevention, and will also discuss how rehabilitation is such a key role in a sportsperson’s return to the sport they love.
