Faraan Khan

Faraan graduated from University College London Medical School in 2007 with MBBS and an intercalated BSc in Clinical Pharmacology (first class honours).  

 

He attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2011 before embarking on Clinical Radiology training at St George’s Hospital. He attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2016. He then subspecialised via the London Neuroradiology Fellowship, with experience at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. He completed the European Diploma in Neuroradiology in 2019.  

 

In 2018, Faraan was appointed Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Atkinson Morley Regional Neurosciences Centre at St. Georges Hospital in London, specialising in both paediatric and adult neuroradiology, where he is now based full-time. He is currently Neuroradiology lead for the Regional Neonatal Neurology and Neuromuscular Multidisciplinary meetings.  

 

Faraan has published in a number of peer-reviewed journals on a range of neuroradiology topics. In addition to fetal and neuromuscular neuroradiology, his clinical interests include the neuroradiology of congenital infections and paediatric brain tumours. He is keenly committed to Medical Education and regularly delivers teaching to university students, allied health professionals and doctors. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
