Modern Management of Tennis Elbow & Golfer’s Elbow - Mr Rupen Dattani, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow are conditions which can be complex and tricky to treat. Learn about their pathophysiologies, as well as symptoms and investigations with Mr Rupen Dattani. Using case studies we will be identifying the tell-tale signs in Ultrasound and MRI images. There is a wide variety of management techniques for both conditions, and we will be covering bracing, strapping, shockwave treatment, steroid injection, PRP, dry needling, other novel techniques – for example, embolization – and surgical methods, where necessary.

Tendonitis & Tendons in The Foot and Ankle: Evidence-Based Rehab - Mr Pinak Ray, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Renew your knowledge on foot and ankle disorders with the latest updates from Mr Pinak Ray. Focusing on the Achilles, Peroneal tendons, Tibialis posterior tendon, FHL tendon (Posterior ankle impingement) and Tibialis anterior (Anterior ankle impingement), we will be examining the evidence-based studies for best-practice diagnoses. We will also be debating rehabilitation methods – both surgical and non-operative.

Meniscal & Patellar Conditions of the Knee: Biomechanics, Function & Rehabilitation - Mr Simon Mellor, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Join Mr Simon Mellor to learn about the epidemiology of meniscal and patellar injuries and the best course of management for your patients. He will be discussing meniscal anatomy and function and meniscal tears, including management of the discoid meniscus, meniscal root tears and paramedical cysts. Secondly, we will be considering patellar anatomy and biomechanics, patellar pain syndrome and patellar instability. Mr Mellor will be utilising case histories to examine important points in both sections of the talk.

Join us and our top consultant speakers from Total Orthopaedics across two mornings for a totally comprehensive review of conditions throughout the body. Our speakers believe that conservative treatment routes should be tried before surgery is absolutely necessary and will be taking a holistic approach to each of their topics.

Then, discussing the types of spinal cancer encountered in the spine, we will be looking at the ‘hows and whys’: how does it get there and what predisposes the patient to getting various forms of cancer? For accurate diagnosis, it is important to know what the relevant tests and imagery are, and what constitutes a spinal emergency.
