Clinical governance

High standards of care you can trust

At Oryon Imaging, your safety, comfort and clinical care come first. From the moment you contact us through to your clinician receiving your report, your journey is carefully planned, clearly explained and professionally managed.

We are a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered provider, rated Good, and work within a strong clinical governance framework based on three pillars.

In simple terms, this means we follow proven clinical standards, manage risk carefully and regularly review how we work, so you can feel confident you’re in safe hands.

1. Clinical leadership and risk management

Clinical governance at Oryon is led by our Clinical Director, Dr Na’eem Ahmed. He provides experienced clinical oversight across our services, supporting our teams to deliver safe, accurate and consistent imaging every day.

All our radiologists are sub-specialists, so your scans are reviewed by experts with deep experience in the area being examined. We also work closely with Medical Physics Experts and our Radiation Protection Advisor to continually review our processes and keep patient safety at the heart of everything we do.

2. Regular checks and quality assurance

We carry out routine audits covering infection control, patient and staff safety, and adherence to clinical policies and procedures. To add further reassurance, our image and report quality is reviewed every month through an independent external audit — helping us maintain consistently high clinical standards.

3. Listening, learning and improving

If we receive a concern or complaint, it is taken seriously and fully investigated. Where improvements can be made, we act on them and share learning across the team to reduce the chance of issues happening again. This approach helps us continuously improve the care and experience we provide. Our full Complaints Policy is available to view online.
