Mr Tony Corner is a consultant surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated to treating patients with problems of the shoulder, elbow and upper limb using the latest techniques. 

Mr James Langdon is  a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated to treating patients with spinal problems.

Mr Jeremy Read is an orthopaedic consultant at the West Hertfordshire Hospital Trust, where he specialises in treating hand and wrist problems, as well as treating general orthopaedic trauma.

Mr Tim Waters is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hips and knees. His practice focuses specifically on complex orthopaedic surgery. 

Mr Subhajit Gosh is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who treats Hip and Knee problems. 

Dr Alok Arya is a dedicated fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist.

Tim Waters

Tim Waters

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon | Hertfordshire

Mr Tim Waters is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hips and knees. He received specialist orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and subsequently spent a year in Australia on the prestigious Sydney Hip and Knee Surgeons’ international fellowship.

He was appointed Consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008 and was Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics from 2014-2017. His practice focuses on complex orthopaedic surgery. He receives referrals from colleagues and consultants from other hospitals for the management of difficult cases, particularly problems with previous hip and knee replacement surgery. He has been awarded seven clinical excellence awards.

Privately he practices at Spire Bushey and One Hatfield Hospitals. His sub-speciality interests include knee and hip replacement, complex & revision joint replacements, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), ligament reconstruction and NAVIO™(CT-free, robotic-assisted surgery).

Mr Waters takes a holistic approach to his practice and ensures he takes the time to explain things clearly in easy-to-understand terms and allows plenty of time for patients to ask questions and discuss concerns. This allows patients to make the best treatment decisions possible.

The little free time he has, is spent with his family, travelling, keeping fit, cooking, collecting guitars & playing music.

James Langdon

Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon | Hertfordshire

James Langdon is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated to treating patients with spinal problems.
Mr. Langdon qualified from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School (Imperial College), and later undertook his specialist training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, where he is also the Clinical Director for Trauma, Orthopaedics and Spinal surgery.

Mr. Langdon’s main surgical interest is in the use of minimally invasive spinal surgical techniques. He believes that the use of these techniques improves patient outcomes and reduces length of hospital stay. He offers a full range of surgical treatments for degenerative spinal conditions including lumbar microdiscectomy, spinal decompression, minimally invasive spinal fusions, anterior cervical decompression and fusion / disc replacement, balloon kyphoplasty, as well as spinal injections. Mr. Langdon ensures he takes the time to explain things clearly in easy to understand terms, enabling patients to make informed decisions about their treatment.

Mr. Langdon has published several research papers on trauma and orthopaedic surgery, and has presented this work at both national and international meetings.

Mr. Langdon enjoys cycling, swimming and cooking. Despite no longer playing he remains a keen rugby supporter.

Tony Corner

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon | Hertfordshire

Mr Corner is a consultant surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated to treating patients with problems of the shoulder, elbow and upper limb using the latest techniques.
He qualified from St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College London and later underwent specialist Orthopaedic training in London. In 2009 he was awarded the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association European Travelling Fellowship.

Mr Corner’s main surgical interest is in arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery for the treatment of impingement, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability (dislocations), frozen shoulder and sports related injuries. He also offers a full range of surgery for shoulder and elbow arthritis including joint resurfacing and total joint replacements including both standard and reverse polarity arthroplasties.

He has published numerous research papers in orthopaedic surgery and this work has been presented at many national and international meetings. Mr Corner is responsible for teaching higher surgical trainees and he is also a faculty member for courses provided nationally teaching techniques of arthroscopic shoulder reconstructive surgery to other orthopaedic consultants and higher trainees.

Mr Corner is an avid rugby and football supporter and when time allows he enjoys a round of golf.

Jeremy Read

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon | Hertfordshire

Mr Jeremy Read trained at Charing Cross & Westminster Medical school, where he gained not only his medical qualification but also a BSc in pharmacology. After medical school he received basic surgical training in the St Peters Hospital rotation and then proceeded to undertake an MSc in Sports Medicine.

Following his MSc he received specialist training in hand surgery as a hand fellow at the Middlemore Hospital, New Zealand and South Pacific regional hand unit. This training was further enhanced with a second specialist hand fellowship at University College Hospital in London

Mr Jeremy Read is an orthopaedic consultant at the West Hertfordshire Hospital Trust, where he specialises in treating hand and wrist problems, as well as treating general orthopaedic trauma. He provides outpatient treatment at Watford General Hospital & Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

Privately he offers consultations and treatment at Spire Harpenden Hospital and Hatfield One Hospital.

Mr Jeremy Read is experienced in treating both common and complex hand and wrist
problems including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, Dupuytren's contracture including Percutaneous Needle Fasciotomy, Kienbock's disease, lunate replacement surgery and all degenerative and post traumatic problems.

Subhajit Ghosh

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon | Hertfordshire

Mr. Subhajit Ghosh is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who treats Hip and Knee problems.

He received his higher orthopaedic training as part of the North-West Thames Orthopaedic Training Programme.

His NHS practice is based at the West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust, based at the St. Albans City Hospital and Watford General Hospital.

Mr Ghosh approaches his patients as unique individuals in order to assess their problems and suggest an individual tailor-made plan to suit their needs. A big part of this is to listen to the patients and explain clearly in a way that the patients and their families understand- so the decision-making process is a collaborative one with the patient’s need at its centre.

Mr Ghosh has a keen interest in making the postoperative recovery as pain free as possible. His aim is to enable patients to return to their normal lives as soon as possible. He has been involved in designing and implementing these methods at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford as well as at the West Herts Hospital NHS Trust.
